Meet the Author

Welcome! I’m Kaila and I write fantasy novels. I just published my debut, and it will be available to purchase May 5, 2026.

I live in a small town in South Arkansas with my loving and supportive husband, our kiddo and a bunch of pets! We have one dog named Pepper, four pigs-Kevin, Ellie, Carl and Pearl (she’s the only inside pig), a cat named Rhys (yes from ACOTAR!) and a bearded Dragon names Andarna (also yes from Fourth Wing!). Can you tell we love books in our house?

When I’m not writing, I spend a majority of my time at my small business that I own and operate as a dog groomer. I also enjoy activities with my family like playing Pokemon Go, Kingdom Hearts on the PS4, traveling, watching various TV shows like Surivivor, Criminal Minds and any other reality show that keeps my attention. I’m also an amateur hunter with my husband (I read or write while he hunts ;) ).

I hope you enjoy my debut novel He Calls Me Flame as much as I loved writing it and any of my other future books to come!
